The HideAway sits on a hillside with complete privacy and views towards the coastline of the East Neuk of Fife.

The building is designed for 2 and has a well equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, toilet and basin and a lovely living area with sofa, wood burner and huge windows. The main bedroom has a beautiful view out over the fields towards the ocean. There is a gas bbq and a fire pit. Everything is provided including bedding, towels, eco cleaning products, eco toiletries and organic tea and coffee.

Overview

An ideal space for romantic getaways or celebrating a special occasion. It’s a cabin that provides a cosy retreat in winter and a fabulous escape in summer.

Outside there is a huge deck with overhanging roof that provides shelter all year round. Enjoy the gas bbq or the firepit, sit together under the stars or on the sofa on the deck.

Inside the separate bedroom has a king size bed and windows that fill two whole walls. Wake up to deer grazing or hares chasing each other across the fields. For summer nights we have pure wool drop down blinds that will keep you sleeping long after after the 4am dawn!

The wood burning stove has a top oven for cooking and will keep the whole cabin warm. The kitchen is fully equipped and all crockery and glassware is ready and waiting.

Out the back you will find your Mud Room – a space for extra groceries and equipment, muddy boots and wet coats. It has a little heater to help dry your gear ready for the next day. It’s also where you will find doggy supplies, games and all the recycling!

Please note that dogs need to be on a lead around the HideAway as there is open access to the agricultural fields in front. Unlimited off lead running space is available on the beach just a couple of minutes from your door.

Cooking

Indoors there is a 4 ring gas hob and the top of the wood burning stove is a mini oven designed for slow roasting or cooking. The very top plate of the stove will keep the kettle warm!
Your own kitchen prep area with fridge (& freezer compartment), sink (eco washing up liquid supplied)
Kitchen equipment includes kettle for hob, plates, bowls, salad bowls, beakers, mugs, crockery, wine & champagne glasses, tumblers, saucepan, frying pan, colander, bbq tools and all necessary utensils.
Cadac citi chef 40 gas bbq on the deck can be used as a pizza oven, outdoor oven or simple BBQ

Washing

Within the HideAway is a shower room with large, walk in shower which has a glass ceiling. There is also a wash hand basin and proper flushing toilet

Heating & Lighting

Wood burning stove – starter logs, kindling and eco firelighters supplied next to stove. Additional logs stored outside
Mini radiator style copper pipes run in the bathroom and bedroom. Ideal for drying towels.

Cabin is fully solar powered and provides only one 3 pin socket and 2 USB charging points (under kitchen table)

Please tell us if you are coming to celebrate a special occasion! We will happily decorate the HideAway for you (note we do not use balloons or any other single use plastic items) and we can help to arrange beautiful bespoke (locally made) cakes.

Hampers

Our friend Alison from local company The St Andrews Hamper Company has put together some amazing hamper packages to suit the cooking facilities within the HideAway. From breakfast bundles to BBQ packs, grazing plates to picnics, she sources the best local and organic produce from nearby independent butchers, farm shops and bakeries. All delivered (free) in plastic free packaging and waiting for you on arrival. Note orders need to be made 7days before arrival. All details can be requested at the time of booking.
